That's an easy one - speak!

What about taking your holiday snaps to the cafe with a friend or two and telling them about the holiday in English - even if they don't speak English you can still do this:) although they may get bored - or try the same with your grandmother - she'll just be happy you're visiting:)

You can practice the exam in groups of 3. One is an examiner, the others are candidates. Get an exam book and practice. You don't need to assess each other although why not tell each other about what you thought was strong or weak. Or, your Mum or Dad could be an examiner.

I think it's very important just to hear yourself speaking in English - to get used to the sound of your own voice in English - my wife says I sound totally different when I speak English than in Polish. So just use every opportunity to speak English. Maybe make mealtimes with your family into English-only zones - or maybe car journeys the same.

Most people have mp3 players or telephones with dictaphones - why not record yourself talking about your friends and family or school or hobbies in practice for part 1. DO NOT LEARN BY HEART - just practice. You could do the same with comparing and contrasting a couple of pictures.

Remember that your aim in the speaking test is to show how good your grammar and vocabulary is, among other things. So any grammar and vocabulary development exercises are good. When you listen to what you have recorded you could try to note down some better phrases, grammar or vocabulary you could have used and then repeat the exercise with that stuff.

If you are especially brave, why not take a trip to the tourist area in your town - a museum or 'old town' and try to meet some tourists speaking in English - you could offer to show them around and so practice your English - they might even buy you an ice-cream or something:)

Be creative!!! Be proactive!!! Just do it!!!
