It is an internationally oriented university with 7000 students where 1500 are international and originate from 60 different countries. Bachelor & Master Studies

CHN offers International Bachelor studies in Hotel, Office, Retail, Tourism and Business Management. Students from Germany can also apply for one of our Dutch Bachelor study programmes: Arts Therapy, Social Care, Leisure Management and Media & Entertainment Management. Master studies are offered in Hospitality, Retail, Leisure & Tourism and Service Management.

Balancing theory and professional practice

Our education is based on the principles of problem-based learning. The students’ independent problem solving skills are developed in CHN learning companies such as our ****star hotel Wyswert and our own Conference & Event office. The CHN provides the students with study counselling and personal coaching during the entire study programme. Bachelor students have the opportunity to choose an industrial placement and semester abroad in more than 45 different countries

Study abroad

The ultimate international educational experience is the “Grand Tour”. Besides studying at our main campus in Leeuwarden, you can also follow part of your studies at our CHN sites in Bangkok (Thailand), Port Alfred (South Africa) and Doha (Qatar). A unique minor is developed for each Grand Tour destination: Wildlife Experience and Spa & Health Management.

Our students learn to become a manager with vision and global perspective and are able to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
